Drop-Off Locations (Free for Residents)
North Facility

Open: Sun–Tues, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
South Facility
8100 2nd Ave S, Seattle (next to transfer station)
Open: Thurs–Sat, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Closed on major holidays.
Other options: Factoria in Bellevue and Auburn Wastemobile.
Wastemobile (Mobile Events)
Available Feb–Oct in neighborhoods across King County.
Accepts oil-based paint, pesticides, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, and more.
Limit: 50 gallons total, 5 gallons per container.

Free Home Pickup
Available for adults 65+, people with disabilities, or those without transportation.

Latex Paint Disposal (Not Accepted at HHW Sites)
1. Recycle for Free
Use PaintCare to find drop-off sites at local retailers (up to 5 gallons per container).

2. Trash (Small Amounts Only)
Let paint dry in the can or solidify with kitty litter/sawdust.
Once hardened, place in the trash with the lid off.
3. Donate or Reuse
If still usable, donate to schools, shelters, or use for touch-ups.
Never pour paint down drains or bring latex to HHW sites.
